Haridwar, Jan. 1 -- The apex body of all 13 major akhadas, the Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad (ABAP), has extended full support to the Uttarakhand government's move to organise the upcoming Ardh Kumbh fair, scheduled to be held in 2027, on the scale of a full-fledged Kumbh Mela. Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad president Mahant Ravindra Puri said on Wednesday that the chief minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami, has taken the akhadas into confidence regarding preparations for the mega religious congregation, which is proposed to be organised on a grand scale comparable to a full Kumbh fair.
