India, June 25 -- India and the United States (US) are back to rubbing each other up the wrong way. Both governments remain committed to the sense that they are, in the words of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, "natural allies". Yet their very proximity has meant the recurrence of points of friction. The India-US trade relations may be darkening right now but it is doing so in part because the economic relationship is much deeper than it has ever been. It is opportune that US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is coming to India this week to kick off his government's engagement with Modi 2.0....
