Meerut, Aug. 12 -- A woman allegedly murdered her husband with the help of her partner and brother in Shamli's Kairana, police said. Mohd Aslam's body was found in a mango orchard in the district on Sunday morning. All three suspects-Aasmeen (24) of Baghpat, her brother Haroon (30) and partner Intzar (25)-were arrested later in the day, police said. According to police, Aslam, 26, of Kandhla in Shamli had been married to Aasmeen for the last nine years. For the last six months, Aasmeen was allegedly involved with Intzar, an auto-rickshaw driver. Haroon disapproved of marriage between his sister and Aslam, officials added. Aslam had reportedly found out about his wife, and was upset with her. Later, Aasmeen, Haroon and Intzar plotted to kill Aslam. On Saturday evening, Haroon lured Aslam to Kairana on the pretext of an outing. Aslam went there with Aasmeen to meet Haroon. The two spiked Aslam's drinks with intoxicants. Joined by Intzar then, they allegedly killed Aslam by slitting his throat. The body was abandoned at the orchard on Kandhla Road. SP Ram Sevak Gautam confirmed that the knife used in killing and auto-rickshaw had been recovered. "Aasmeen, Intzar, and Haroon were arrested and have been booked and will be sent to jail," he said. htc...
