LUCKNOW, April 10 -- The Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) has intensified preparations for Swachh Survekshan 2025-26, with municipal commissioner Gaurav Kumar issuing strict directives to officials to improve sanitation, public toilets and waste management. He warned that negligence will invite strict action and stressed same-day redressal of civic complaints to enhance service delivery and public satisfaction. Chairing a high-level review meeting at the Smart City office on Thursday, Kumar directed all zonal officers to strengthen field monitoring and ensure that cleanliness standards are maintained across the city. Taking serious note of the poor condition of public toilets and urinals, Kumar ordered the completion of work on 86 public toilets at the earliest.
