Patna, May 30 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday met Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lawmakers, legislators and party leaders from Bihar at the state BJP headquarters in Patna ahead of the assembly polls scheduled later this year, party functionaries aware of the matter said. During the 90 minute meeting, Modi spoke about effectively managing poll booths. "The PM said that this (booth management) has been our strength and we should concentrate more on it... The focus was on strengthening the booth level workers," said a BJP functionary, who was part of the meeting, on condition of anonymity. A party leader, who was also part of the meeting, said that the PM touch upon various issues related to elections during his interaction. Earlier in the day, Modi inaugurated the new terminal building of Jayprakash Narayan International Airport in Patna, which was built at a cost of around Rs.1,200 crore and will cater to 10 million passengers annually. He laid the foundation stone for a new civil enclave at Bihta airport, built at a cost of Rs.1,410 crore....
