VARANASI, Nov. 7 -- The Army Recruiting Office (ARO) Varanasi is organising a recruitment rally for youth from 12 districts, including Mau, Ballia, Azamgarh, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Ghazipur, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Jaunpur and Varanasi. Colonel Shailesh Kumar, director of recruiting at ARO Varanasi, informed that candidate entry for the Agniveer recruitment rally, scheduled on November 8, will begin at 2 am at the Ranbankure Stadium premises. Agniveers will be inducted into the Indian Army under various trades, including general duty, clerk, tradesmen, and technical. Colonel Shailesh Kumar said the candidates who cleared the online CEE in July 2025 must report with original documents, as per their admit cards, by 2 am at Ranbankure Stadium, Varanasi. The ARO Varanasi has displayed information leaflets with recruitment instructions at key locations across the city. Senior Army officials from the headquarters recruiting zone, Lucknow, will visit the rally site to review the recruitment process, he added. The recruitment rally received strong support from Brig Anirban Datta, SM, Station Commander, Varanasi Cantt, and district magistrate Satyendra Kumar. The civil administration arranged accommodation, mobile toilets, drinking water, and bus services for candidates traveling to and from bus stands and railway stations.
