After gusty winds, gradual rise in mercury likely across U.P.
LUCKNOW, Feb. 8 -- Temperatures in Lucknow and other parts of Uttar Pradesh are expected to rise gradually after strong westerly winds subside from Tuesday, weather officials said.
As the strong winds are likely to clear fog and no weather system is anticipated over the next 24 hours, temperatures may increase by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the next two to three days.
On Saturday, the day and night temperatures in the state capital were recorded at 25 degrees Celsius and 10.3 degrees Celsius. The forecast for Lucknow indicates strong surface winds are very likely over the area, with the maximum and minimum temperatures expected to hover around 25 degrees Celsius and 11 degrees Celsius respectively.
Across the state, the weather is most likely to remain dry. Strong surface winds with speeds ranging between 15 and 25 kilometres per hour are very likely over Uttar Pradesh.
Jhansi recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state at 28.7 degrees, while the lowest minimum temperature of 8.1 degrees was recorded in Gorakhpur and Muzaffarnagar.HTC...
