JHANSI, Oct. 10 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday took pot hots at the previous government, saying a good government brings prosperity, development, safety and self-reliance while a bad government creates disturbance and problems. "If there is a good government, it brings prosperity, development, safety and self-reliance. But if the government is bad, it creates disturbance and problems, like the government in the state before 2017 when people of UP started having identity crisis. Before 2017, the 'chacha and bhatija' team used to extort money," said the CM holding a rally in Orai, Jalaun district where he unveiled projects worth Rs 1,900 crore. In reference to Kalpi, the birthplace of Maharishi Ved Vyas, Adityanath said felt blessed to be here just before Diwali, saying the government helped in getting the city special recognition for its handmade papers through the 'One District, One Product' (ODOP) scheme. Attacking the SP, Adityanath said: "The SP chief sees communalism in the teaching of great sages and seers of the country and finds messengers of peace among rioters." He said the double engine government has shown the right place to rioters, criminals and anti-social elements while mentioning that now UP is the growth engine of the country's economy. "Today's youth of this state are getting jobs here, be it government or private. The state's farmers and businessmen are being given all possible help and security. GST reforms have helped in giving relief to common citizens under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi," he said....
