LUCKNOW, April 28 -- Ram Yash Singh, father of ADG law and order/STF, UP, Amitabh Yash, passed away here on Monday. Singh, 83, a retired IPS officer of the 1985 batch (Bihar cadre), was known for his disciplined and principled approach to service. During his career in the Bihar Police, he held key assignments in districts such as East Champaran, West Champaran, Jehanabad and Godda (now in Jharkhand), where he played a significant role in maintaining law and order during challenging periods. He retired as the deputy inspector general. In recognition of his courage and dedication to duty, he was awarded the President's Police Medal for Gallantry. Family members said Singh continued to contribute to society even after retirement by practising as an advocate.htc....
