Accused escapes from custody in Bharatpur
Bharatpur, Dec. 9 -- A man arrested in a case of kidnapping and theft escaped from Sewar police station's lock-up on Sunday midnight in Bharatpur, police said on Monday, adding that a search is underway to nab him.
The accused, identified as Ramavtar Bairwa, native of Gangapur City, was already lodged in Sawai Madhopur jail in a murder case, and was arrested by Pratap Nagar police on a production warrant under sections of kidnapping and theft crime on Saturday.
Jaipur's Pratap Nagar police took him and his colleague woman to Bharatpur for recovery for stolen things where both of them were kept in lock-up of Sewar police station to spend the night.
The police had to take them back to Pratap Nagar police station on Monday morning but he absconded from the lock-up of Sewar police station.
Satish Bharadwaj, Sewar police station in-charge said that Pratap Nagar police team of Jaipur took him and his colleague arrested woman to Bharatpur for recovery.
They were kept in the police station's lock-up but he fled away. Police are searching for him, he said.
He was in jail for killing a 50-year-old woman on April 21 in Sawai Madhopur, a police officer said....
