Rudrapur, Dec. 24 -- The district education authorities on Monday suspended the headmaster and removed a teacher from service after they were found absent during an inspection at a government primary school in Jaspur area of Udham Singh Nagar district. Explanations were also sought from two other teachers found missing from duty, officials said. District education officer (basic), US Nagar, Harendra Mishra said a routine inspection was carried out at a primary school located in Islamnagar Colony of Jaspur at around 11 am. During the inspection, four staff members, including the headmaster, were found absent, leading to a complete halt in teaching activities. "During the inspection, the headmaster and three teachers were found absent without prior intimation. Considering the seriousness of the lapse, the headmaster has been suspended with immediate effect. One teacher, Bhure Lal, who was serving on an extension of service, has been removed from service.
