Absconding accused in property dealer murder case arrested
PRAYAGRAJ, April 25 -- The Kareli police arrested Rashid Durrani-an accused in the murder of property dealer Irfan and carrying a Rs 25000 reward, late on Thursday night, near the Barkhandi Mahadev intersection in Prayagraj. Following the crime, he had fled to Bengaluru. He returned to Prayagraj three days ago and had been hiding near Saidpur.
During police interrogation, Durrani confessed to the shooting. Meanwhile, the police have also obtained significant leads regarding his brother Asif Durrani and two other accomplices.
On the evening of April 8, property dealer Mohammad Irfan was shot dead near Bismillah Crossing in Ainuddinpur, Prayagraj. Acting on a written complaint filed by the family, the Kareli police registered a case against Atiq's shooter Asif Durrani, his brother Rashid Durrani, their sister, and two unidentified individuals.
The police have previously sent three other accused, involved in the conspiracy, to jail....
