Abhishek Bachchan roasts Pak team after Shoaib Akhtar slip
India, Sept. 28 -- Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar made an on-air slip that went instantly viral, and actor Abhishek Bachchan didn't miss the chance to serve up a sharp roast in reply. The incident took place during a panel discussion on a cricket talk show on September 26, where Akhtar was analysing Pakistan's prospects ahead of the Asia Cup 2025 final (today in Dubai).
While talking about India's opening line-up, he accidentally referred to actor Abhishek Bachchan instead of Indian opener Abhishek Sharma, who has been in blazing form with consecutive half-centuries. "If Pakistan get Abhishek Bachchan out early on in a hypothetical situation, then what is going to happen with the middle-order? Their middle-order hasn't performed well," Akhtar said, drawing laughter from fellow panellists, who quickly corrected him.
The clip circulated widely on social media, with fans amused at the mix-up. Bachchan himself joined the fun, sharing the news link on X later that evening and writing: "Sir, with all due respect. don't think they'll even manage that! And I'm not even good at playing cricket." HTC...
