PRAYAGRAJ, May 15 -- The Prayagraj regional office of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday released the list of Top-10 meritorious students of Class 10 exams-2025, results of which were declared on Tuesday. Out of 2,12,311 students who passed Class 10 from 2,085 schools in 49 districts of Uttar Pradesh that fall under CBSE's Prayagraj region, three meritorious students jointly secured first place on the basis of marks bagged in the best five subjects. Two out of the 10 meritorious students are from Sultanpur. Likewise, one student each from Ayodhya, Sonbhadra, Varanasi, Ambedkar Nagar, Auraiya, Maharajganj, Prayagraj and Rae Bareli have secured a place in the Top-10 merit list. As per the list, Abhinav Pandey of Avadh International School of Ayodhya, Vaishnavi Srivastava of St Francis School, Anpara of Sonbhadra and Mansi Pandey of Little Flower House, Kakarmatta of Varanasi jointly secured the first position by securing 494 out of 500 (98.8%) marks. Seven meritorious students jointly bagged the second position. These include Shashwat Agarwal of Radiant Central Academy, Jalalpur of Ambedkar Nagar, Arushi Gupta of Gail DAV Public School, Dibiyapur of Auraiya, Krishnanand Verma of PM Shri School Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya of Maharajganj, Divyanshi Singh of BBS International School, Gohari in Soraon tehsil of Prayagraj, Ananya Singh of Lucknow Public School, Ahiyaraipur of Rae Bareli, Yashraj Joshi of Indorama Public School, Jagdishpur of Sultanpur and Adiba Khurshid of Surya Academy Public School, Amhat of Sultanpur, all of whom secured 493 out of 500 (98.6%) marks. Although the result of Class 10 was declared on Tuesday along with Class 12, due to delay in receiving information from the CBSE headquarters, the merit list was released by the Prayagraj regional office on Wednesday. Scrutiny of the merit list reveals that the merit has fallen in CBSE Class 10 exam result in Prayagraj region's 49 districts of UP as compared to last year. In Prayagraj region, three meritorious students have jointly secured first position by securing 98.8% this time. In 2024, Abhinav Kumar Jaiswal of St Joseph's School, Rihand Nagar of Sonbhadra had secured first position with 99.2% marks and Anvesh Patel of The Millennium School, Mohanlalganj of Lucknow had secured second position with 99% marks. In the result of 2023, Bipasha Bhattacharya of Kendriya Vidyalaya, IIT-Kanpur had secured first position in the region with 98.8% marks. In CBSE's Prayagraj region that covers 49 districts of UP, the maximum number of students of Class 10 have passed in Kannauj. Out of 1,266 candidates who appeared in the examination from Kannauj, 1,218 (96.21%) have passed. Sitapur's result is second best. Out of 2,436 students who appeared in the examination from Sitapur, 2,335 (95.85%) have passed. Likewise, out of 729 students of Hamirpur, 692 (94.92%) passed, out of 20,615 students of Lucknow, 19,546 (94.81%) passed while out of 680 students of Lalitpur, 643 (94.56%) passed....
