Aadaab Arz echoes Urdu's enduring charm
LUCKNOW, Dec. 9 -- Aadaab Arz Lucknow organised a cultural and literary gathering on Monday that was conducted by Nasreen Hamid.
The session commenced with an address by Sabira Habib. She stated that "Aadaab Arz" is not merely a greeting but a profound reflection of Lucknow's rich cultural tradition and the living expression of Urdu literature. After her, poet Sanjay Shauq shared his personal connection with the Urdu language and his journey of learning it.
Urdu Academy's media coordinator Seema Modi emphasized that Urdu is not just a language but a vital foundation of Lucknow's cultural identity. Guests who participated in the event included Pradeep Kapoor, Urdu Lucknow chapter coordinator Arshi Ali, and coordinator Seema Modi.
Arshi Alvi expressed her views on Urdu and Lucknawi literature, stating that the delicacy, sweetness, and uniqueness that Lucknow has bestowed upon Urdu are unparalleled. She emphasized need to pass this shared cultural heritage on to younger generations.
In her concluding remarks, Nasreen Hamid stated that the purpose of "Aadaab Arz Lucknow" is to preserve the city's cultural ethos, traditions, and stream of Urdu literature....
