A life in struggle
India, July 5 -- On Wednesday, the Dalai Lama said that the 600-year-old institution of the spiritual head of Tibetan Buddhists will continue after his death. He said a trust he created will be the sole authority to recognise his reincarnation, prompting China's fury. The institution's future has been speculated since the Dalai Lama in 2011 said he would decide on his 90th birthday (July 6, this year) whether it should continue.
