PRAYAGRAJ, June 26 -- Police in Prayagraj have started a special operation to keep a close eye on 99 history-sheeters who were recently released on bail. These individuals have a record of crimes like robbery, theft, snatching, and burglary. Police are now checking their past criminal files and making visits to confirm what they are doing at present. Officers have warned all of them clearly-if they commit any crime again, strong and immediate action will be taken. Deputy commissioner of police (city), Abhishek Bharti, said that all station house officers (SHOs) have been told to watch these men closely in their areas. This step comes after a rise in street crimes in the city, including thefts in broad daylight and attacks on women and pedestrians.
