8 new faculty members for three depts in AU
PRAYAGRAJ, Sept. 5 -- A meeting of the Executive Council of the Allahabad University (AU) was held on Thursday at the university guest house, chaired by vice-chancellor Prof Sangita Srivastava. Several significant decisions were made during the session.
Envelopes containing recommendations of the selection committees were opened for the appointment of new faculty members: five in the Department of Commerce and Business Administration, two in the Department of Family and Community Science (formerly Home Science), and one in the Early Childhood Care Center. Additionally, 27 faculty members were promoted under the Career Advancement Scheme (CAS).
The council, which is central varsity's apex-decision-making body, gave formal approval for the introduction of four-year undergraduate programs (BA, BSc, and BCom), which had earlier been passed by the Academic Council. htc...
