720 youths get employment under Divyangjan Rozgar Abhiyan
Lucknow, Aug. 22 -- The "Divyangjan Rozgar Abhiyan" run by Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission from August 5 to 13 was successfully completed, under which employment opportunities were provided to a total of 720 Divyang youths of the state.
Out of these, 518 youths were provided paid employment in reputed companies, while 202 youths were provided guidance and assistance for self-employment. Mission director Pulkit Khare said that for the effective conduct of this special campaign, necessary guidelines were given by holding a meeting with the chief development officers, employment officers, District Divyangjan Empowerment Officers and Deputy Commissioner- District Industries Center of 75 districts. Along with this, the action plan was also shared by sending a letter to the district magistrates.
Under the campaign, offers were made for appointment to various posts like computer operator, warehouse executive, customer sales associate, tele caller, accountant, packaging and scanning helper, retailer in sectors like banking and accounting, telecom, retail, IT-ITes etc. The selected youth were offered an average monthly salary of Rs 11,000 to Rs15,000. Employment fairs and camps were organised in various districts, in which Lucknow, Kanpur Nagar, Amroha, Barabanki and Varanasi were among the top five districts....
