LUCKNOW, Sept. 18 -- In a significant change, seven senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, including a Deputy Inspector General (DIG) rank official, and six Superintendent of Police (SP) rank officials were transferred on Wednesday, confirmed senior officials at state police headquarters. The list included the 2011 batch Regular Recruit (RR) IPS officer DIG Rules and Manuals, Dev Ranjan Verma, whose transfer as DIG Establishment has been cancelled, and made DIG, DIG Training Directorate. Others included Satish Kumar, 2013 batch RR IPS officer, has been transferred from Commandant of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Lucknow to SP attached to Police Headquarters, and 2020 batch RR IPS officer Abhijeet Kumar, who was Additional Commissioner of Police, Prayagraj, has been made Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) of Meerut. Moreover, four State Police Services (SPS) cadre officers were given new postings after elevation to IPS cadre. This included Atul Kumar Srivastava, who was posted as ASP Rampur, has been shifted as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Kanpur Nagar; Mamta Rani Chowdhary has been elevated to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) from the rank of Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police in Lucknow itself; Shailendra Kumar Singh, who was posted as ASP Amethi, was posted as DCP Gautambuddhanagar, and Trigun Bisen, who was posted as ASP Firozabad, has been made DCP of Ghaziabad....
