7 hospitals in Prayagraj div will be fully modernised: Pathak
LUCKNOW, Nov. 15 -- Seven hospitals in Prayagraj division will be fully modernised with critical care units and telemedicine services, said deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak on Friday.
During a review meeting of the medical education and the medical health departments, he said, "State's health system is being rapidly strengthened. Ensuring full availability of essential medicines, modern medical equipment and human resources in every hospital is our top priority."
Discussing the Prayagraj division's health system, he said seven major hospitals in the division's six districts are being equipped with modern facilities to make it easier for patients in remote areas to access the services of specialist doctors.
Regarding the expansion of Lohia institute in Lucknow, Pathak said 1,000 additional beds are being added to the medical institute. Additional chief secretary, medical health and medical education, Amit Kumar Ghosh; secretary Ritu Maheshwari; special secretary Dhirendra Sachan; director general, medical health, Dr Ratanpal Singh Suman and senior officers of the concerned departments were present in the meeting....
