LUCKNOW, Dec. 8 -- A diverse group of people turned up for interviews for the post of Congress spokesperson in Uttar Pradesh as the selection process began on Sunday. From senior party workers to young scholars, a total of 602 candidates applied for the positions, which the party aims to finalise by the month end. Interviews were conducted across six zones, and on the first day, candidates from Prayagraj, Meerut, Gorakhpur, Bundelkhand, Agra, Lucknow, Unnao, Bahraich, Barabanki, Balrampur, Shrawasti, Gonda, Sitapur, Lakhimpur Kheri, and Rae Bareli were interviewed. "Shortlisted candidates will be called for a second round soon.
