LUCKNOW, Nov. 4 -- As many as six teams would be seen in action in the Vijai Mitra Dwivedi (Chakai Daada) Memorial Sub-Junior Hockey Tournament, beginning Wednesday, at the Chandra Bhan Gupt National College Ground. The tournament will be played on league-cum-=knock-out basis. The participating teams, include Gandhi Club (Barabanki), Vijai Mitra Dwivedi XI, Jaman Lal Sharma XI, KD Singh Babu XI, Ravinder Pal XI and Mohd Shahid XI. The Cup SBI Lucknow Media Premier League 2025 will be organized from December 13 to 19 here under the aegis of the Lucknow Sports Journalists Association (LSJA), with the aim of providing a platform for the talents of journalists in Lucknow. This decision was taken at a meeting of the LSJA, which was attended by its president Dharmendra Pandey, secretary SM Arshad, organizing secretary, Divya Nautiyal, convener Vikram Srivastava, and other members. Nautiyal informed that 11 teams have been invited to participate, out of which nine teams will be selected for the league. The matches will be played at the KD Singh Babu Stadium and the Chowk Stadium. Arshad stated that teams interested in participating can register by November 7. He further added that the league final will be played under floodlights at the KD Singh Babu Stadium on December 19. He also mentioned that the teams invited to participate in the league include the host LSJA team, along with teams from Hindustan Times, Dainik Jagran, Times of India, Amar Ujala, DD-AIR XI, Electronic Media XI, Accredited Journalists XI, UPJA (Uttar Pradesh Association of Journalists), UP Press Club, and Combined Media XI....
