PRAYAGRAJ, July 19 -- A case was registered against 50 people, including 15 named, at Prayagraj's Mauaima police station after a clash allegedly broke out between Kanwariyas and Muslims over playing music during the ongoing Kanwar Yatra here in which a group of Kanwariyas alleged that they were assaulted by the members of the other community even as the Namazis alleged that the Kanwariyas became furious when they were asked to play the DJ at a low volume during the Friday prayers, police said. The case was registered on the complaint of a Kanwariya Mahendra Kumar Saroj, a resident of Sarai Khwaja village here, they added. Confirming it, DCP (Trans Ganga) Kuldeep Singh Gunawat said there was an argument over sound of the DJ after people of the other community objected to it.
