5.34L trainees to appear for UP DElEd sem exams
PRAYAGRAJ, Sept. 25 -- The semester examinations for various batches of the Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd) will be conducted across the state from October 27 to November 1. A total of 5,34,237 trainees will appear for the exams, including 3,45,531 candidates from the first semester and 1,88,706 from the third semester, informed officials.
Secretary of the Examination Regulatory Authority (ERA), Anil Bhushan Chaturvedi, has instructed all principals of district institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) and deputy directors (education) to finalise examination centers based on the list of trainees enrolled in each district.
Exam centers will be located at district headquarters, and only those schools equipped with functional CCTV surveillance systems will be designated as exam venues.
Additionally, DElEd training institutes will not be allowed to operate within the premises of the exam centers, and unaided recognised schools have been barred from being used as examination venues. The DElEd, formerly known as the Basic Training Certificate (BTC), is a two-year diploma programme for candidates aspiring to become teachers in primary and upper primary schools.
As per the schedule released by the Examination Regulatory Authority, Uttar Pradesh, the first semester exams will be held from October 27 to 29, while the third semester exams will take place between October 30 and November 1.
For the first semester, the exams will begin on October 27 . and conclude on October 29.
The third semester exams will start on October 30. On October 31, the Science paper, Mathematics, and Social Studies will be held. The final day, November 1, will see Hindi paper, Sanskrit/Urdu, and the Computer paper....
