PATNA, May 25 -- Two people were arrested and three others detained for allegedly kidnapping, raping and murdering a nine-year-old girl and dumping her body in a brick kiln in Saran district of Bihar, police said on Saturday. According to police, the incident took place when the victim was on her way back home from school on Saturday when the accused, three of them juveniles, allegedly abducted her, took her to a secluded area, gangraped her and strangled her to death. Then they dumped the body in a brick kiln nearby and tried to flee the spot, raising suspicion among the passersby. "The local villagers chased the accused and thrashed them before handing them over to the police.
