5 doc sacked for apathy, poor conduct
LUCKNOW, June 4 -- The Uttar Pradesh government has dismissed five doctors posted at the Bachhrawan Community Health Centre (CHC) in Rae Bareli district following repeated complaints of negligence and unprofessional conduct.
Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak on Tuesday directed the removal of Dr Neelima Arya, Dr Anju Verma, Dr Manish Kumar, Dr Prashant Kumar, and Dr Abhilasha Bhardwaj for consistently failing to perform their duties and showing apathy towards patients. The directive was issued to Parth Sarthi Sen Sharma, principal secretary, health department.
The decision follows an unannounced inspection conducted on May 30 by the additional director, Lucknow division. The inspection confirmed that several complaints were valid, prompting swift administrative action, Pathak said.
Superintendent of Bachhrawan CHC, Dr Anil Kumar, has been transferred to Ballia and issued a chargesheet. Departmental proceedings have also been initiated against him.
Additionally, Dr Indrabhushan Jaiswal is facing departmental action for prolonged unauthorised absence without notification.
In another case, two radiologists, Dr Sandeep Kumar and Dr Brijesh Yadav, have been suspended for failing to report to their new postings. Dr Kumar, transferred from the Gauriganj District Combined Hospital (Amethi) to Ballia on January 3, 2025, did not join duty. Dr Yadav, transferred to Hardoi District Hospital on January 21, 2021, also remains absent.
Departmental action has been ordered against Dr Usha Chandra of Lok Bandhu Raj Narayan Combined Hospital, Lucknow, for remaining absent without notification.htc....
