Gorakhpur, June 1 -- A road accident claimed the lives of four young men near Siddhuwa Par village on the Gorakhpur-Varanasi highway on Saturday morning. All four victims were from the same village, Girthaul, with two of them being real brothers. The accident took place at around 9:45 am. According to circle officer Manoj Pandey, all of them were riding an Apache motorcycle towards Gorakhpur. While trying to overtake another vehicle, they collided head-on with a car coming from the opposite direction. The impact was severe. The motorcycle was dragged for several metres and was completely mangled. The riders were thrown nearly 20 metres from the point of collision. The victims were rushed to a nearby community health centre. Sunil Kumar ,25, Pradhuman Kumar ,22,, and Arvind Singh ,19, were declared dead on arrival. Rahul Singh ,18, was referred to the district hospital in Gorakhpur, where he later died from his injuries. The car driver fled the scene after the crash. Police have seized the car and recovered some documents from inside. CCTV footage is being reviewed to help identify and catch the driver.htc...
