Bahraich, Nov. 6 -- Four people lost their lives in a road accident on the Bahraich-Lucknow National Highway near Madan Kothi intersection under the Fakharpur police station area early Wednesday morning. The victims - a husband, wife, their two-and-a-half-year-old child, and the woman's brother - were all riding on a single motorcycle at the time of the crash. The accident occurred when a trailer loaded with concrete, coming from Barabanki, reportedly lost control due low visibility conditions caused by morning fog. The deceased were identified as Karan 32, Sheenu 28, their two and a half year old son Vishnu, and Chandra Kishore, 35. According to additional superintendent of police (city) Ramanand Kushwaha, the trailer driver swerved to avoid a bus approaching from the opposite direction and overturned into a roadside ditch, colliding with the motorcycle traveling toward Baranaki. All four bike riders died on the spot.
