4 injured as bus rams tempo in bid to avoid car
PRAYAGRAJ, July 21 -- A speeding roadways bus collided with a tempo coming from Kaushambi near Gurudwara under Puramufti police station area in Prayagraj on Sunday afternoon. Four passengers in the tempo sustained critical injuries, while a passerby was also hurt in the incident.
On receiving information, police of Puramufti police station reached the spot of the accident and pulled out the injured trapped in the tempo. All the five injured were sent to Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital (SRNH) for treatment.
Upon receiving information, police from the Puramufti station rushed to the scene and rescued the injured who were trapped inside the tempo. All five injured individuals were immediately taken to Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital (SRNH) for treatment.
According to SHO of Puramufti police station Manoj Singh, a speeding roadways bus was heading towards Prayagraj district on Sunday afternoon. A car coming from Kanpur side tried to overtake the bus. The bus driver in a bid to save the car, rammed into a tempo with four persons seated inside including the driver.
The bus driver fled the scene following the accident. All the injured were rushed to SRN Hospital, where doctors declared their condition to be critical. According to the SHO, the families of the injured have been informed about the incident. He added that a case will be registered once the family members arrive. All the injured victims are residents of the Bhawari area in Kaushambi....
