4 doctors dismissed forlaxity, 6 others face action
LUCKNOW, Aug. 29 -- Four government doctors in Lucknow and a data entry operator were terminated for laxity in duty on Thursday. The action followed the directive of deputy CM Brajesh Pathak, who also holds the health portfolio. The process for disciplinary action against six other doctors has also begun, officials said.
Of the four doctors, one was posted at the urban primary health centre in Neelmatha and another at Ayushman Mandir. "Laxity in duty will not be tolerated as providing better healthcare is a priority of the state government," Pathak said. Doctors have also been served notices in Bareilly, Hathras and Siddharthnagar, while a doctor in Chandauli has been transferred after a complaint of misbehaviour with a woman staffer.
Meanwhile, 22 hospitals in the state will be provided equipment worth Rs.5.31 crore for better treatment. Hospitals to receive the equipment include those in Unnao, Aligarh, Lucknow, Varanasi, Kanpur, Bhadohi, Muzaffarnagar, Ghaziabad, Farrukhabad and Azamgarh, officials said.htc...
