4 caught cheating, banned for life
PRAYAGRAJ, Dec. 19 -- The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has imposed a lifetime ban on four candidates who were caught using unfair means during the LT Grade (Assistant Teacher) recruitment examination for government schools held on December 6 and 7.
The Commission has also forwarded the list of these candidates to the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and other state public service commissions, confirmed officials.
According to UPPSC examination controller Harsh Dev Pandey, on December 6, during the second shift of the Hindi subject examination at Kailash Nath Balika Inter College, Kanpur, an impersonator named Amar Raj Sonkar of Kaushambi was caught appearing in place of the actual candidate Santosh Kumar (Roll No. 0512808), a resident of Kaushambi. On the same day, during the first shift of the Mathematics examination at Prayag Mahila Vidyapeeth Inter College, Prayagraj, Pramod Kumar, a resident of Saharsa, Bihar, was found appearing in place of the original candidate Pravesh Kumar (Roll No. 0028735) from Shahganj, Jaunpur.
On December 7, during the first shift of the science examination at Khalsa Girls Inter College, Harjinder Nagar, Kanpur, a mobile phone (Android) was recovered from candidate Ritu Srivastava (Roll No. 0440757), a resident of Morena, Madhya Pradesh, during the examination.
On the same day, in the second shift of the Sanskrit examination at Ishwar Sharan Inter College, Prayagraj, discrepancies were found during the online verification of candidate Rasna Singh (Roll No. 0860958), as the Aadhaar card displayed the name "Sadhvi Devkirti" and the father's name as "Swami Ram Dev," which did not match the submitted documents.
Cases have been registered against all four candidates under the Uttar Pradesh Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, and relevant sections of the Public Examination Act, 1998.
