Dehradun, Nov. 8 -- The Haridwar Police arrested a 36-year-old man for allegedly murdering his elder brother's brother-in-law when he visited Haridwar to attend his nephew's last rites, police officers said. The accused has been identified as Naman Pundir, a resident of Roorkee in Haridwar. Police said a family dispute was the motive for the crime. Haridwar senior superintendent of police Pramendra Dobhal said, "A complaint was made at the Gangnahar police station about the incident." The accused allegedly inflicted several blows on the deceased's neck, chest and stomach with a knife, police said. According to police, the deceased was taken to the sub district hospital in Roorkee where he was declared dead.
