PRAYAGRAJ, April 21 -- A minor girl and her two younger brothers drowned in a pond located outside their house, in Kanjas village under the Kandhai police station limits in Pratapgarh, on Monday. The victims have been identified as Rani (12), Mohit (9) and Rohit (6), children of Vijay Bahadur Yadav. According to police, Mohit and Rohit went to bathe in the pond at around 9:30 am. When the boys failed to return, their elder sister Rani went out to look for them but also did not return. By noon, when none of the three returned, their mother began searching for them. A villager passing by the pond noticed Mohit's clothes floating in the water and alerted others after pulling the boy out.
