3 Lko varsities celebrate Guj Foundation Day
Lucknow, May 2 -- On the directives of the governor and chancellor Anandiben Patel, at least three major universities in Lucknow-the University of Lucknow, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University and KMC Language University-celebrated Gujarat Foundation Day through multifaceted events that harmoniously blended social responsibility, academic discourse, and cultural expression.
At the LU, festivities commenced with a humanitarian initiative. A "Poshan Potli Distribution" (Nutrition Kit Distribution) programme was organised at the Bhaurao Deoras Civil Hospital for patients registered under the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (Prime Minister's TB-Free India Campaign).
Led by the Pt Deendayal Upadhyay Research Chair (department of social work), this initiative aimed to provide patients with essential nutritional supplies-such as sattu, health-boosting dietary supplements, and roasted gram-to aid in their recovery. Doctors, faculty members, and students actively participated in this campaign.
In compliance with the directives of the Chancellor of Uttar Pradesh, Anandiben Patel, 'Gujarat Foundation Day 2026' was celebrated with great enthusiasm and dignity at the Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University.
A series of diverse cultural programmes were organised within the university campus, wherein students vividly showcased the rich folk culture, traditions, and art forms of Gujarat.
