3 fire incidents reported in Agra
Agra, May 14 -- As temperatures in Agra hover around 40 degrees Celsius, the city witnessed a spike in fire incidents on Tuesday, with blazes reported at a hospital, a residential building, and a marriage hall.
The first fire broke out early in the morning at a private hospital in the Delhi gate area. Flames spread on the fourth floor where nine children were undergoing treatment. All the children were safely rescued before smoke engulfed the area."One section of the floor was unoccupied, while the other had nine children. They were evacuated in time, and the fire was contained without any casualties," said chief fire officer DK Singh. A short circuit is suspected to have triggered the fire.
Later in the day, panic gripped Lawyers' colony after a house caught fire, trapping an elderly couple on the third floor.
Two local youths rushed in to help but also became trapped. "The fire was brought under control within an hour, and no one was injured," Singh confirmed.In a third incident, a fire broke out at a marriage hall on Fatehabad Road in the afternoon. The decorated entrance was completely destroyed, but local residents managed to douse the flames before they could spread further. With the rising heat and growing electricity load, fire officials are urging citizens to take extra precautions to prevent such incidents.htc...
