Udaipur, Jan. 22 -- Three people were killed and 17 were injured on Wednesday after a four-wheel-drive vehicle carrying 27 passengers lost control and fell into a deep gorge in Udaipur's Dingawari area, police said. Kotra Police Station in-charge Mangla Ram said, "Around 12:30 pm, the jeep was on its way from Bilwan to Kotra when its brakes suddenly failed while climbing a slope. The driver tried his best to control the vehicle, but it veered off the road and plunged nearly 60 feet into a gorge". Local villagers immediately rushed to the spot and started rescue operations.
