LUCKNOW, Dec. 19 -- The basic education department has launched the second phase of mandatory online teacher training programme focusing on self-esteem and emotional well being of students under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan. During the first phase conducted earlier this year, 54,347 teachers completed the training. As per a government press note, the programme is being implemented under the guidance of basic education minister Sandeep Singh. The training, available on the DIKSHA portal, is being conducted for teachers working in upper primary schools, composite schools and Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas.
