KANPUR, March 25 -- A 26-year old man, who had returned from a vacation in Madhya Pradesh, committed suicide in Sachendi village in the district allegedly out of fear that he was infected with coronavirus. The youth identified as Manish Tiwari was found hanging in his room on the second floor of the house on Tuesday morning, said the SP Kanpur rural Pradyumn Singh. Tiwari was a post graduate and was teaching children at his house in Binor village. His brother Ashish Tiwari said Manish, youngest in the family, had gone to Khajuraho for vacation. On his return, three days ago, he developed simple cold and cough. But he was deeply disturbed, suspecting that he had contracted coronavirus. "Last night, he ate food and retired in his room; this morning when he did not come out from his room for long, we decided to check. His body was hanging from the hook in the ceiling. He just could not cope up with coronavirus pressure and ended his life", he said. The family informed the 112 and the local police sent the body for post mortem. SP rural said the family continued to maintain that the deceased was worried due to his suspicion of contracting Covid-19 and the police were investigating the matter further. Doctors, however, have urged the people not to get scared of coronavirus....
