25 shanties gutted inOsho Nagar, none hurt
Lucknow, May 31 -- A major fire broke out in Osho Nagar under the Krishna Nagar police station limits on Friday morning, destroying around 25 shanties.
The blaze began at 11:19 AM, prompting a swift response from Alambagh Fire Station. "Three fire tenders from Alambagh and one from Sarojini Nagar were dispatched immediately," said fire station officer Dharmpal Singh. "Upon arrival, we found the shanties engulfed in flames and began dousing the fire using hose pipes."
Lucknow CFO Ankush Mittal and Sarojini Nagar fire station officer Sumit Pratap Singh later joined the efforts with an additional fire tender. The fire was eventually brought under control. Fortunately, no casualties were reported as residents managed to flee upon seeing the flames. The incident occurred on an open plot opposite Nirmal Singh's residence in Osho Nagar, Kanousi. Authorities are yet to identify the landowner and affected residents.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Krishna Nagar police and fire department officials....
