Lucknow, July 10 -- The department of personnel and training issued a notification for the promotion of 22 Uttar Pradesh State Civil Services (PCS) officers of 2008 and 2010 batch to IAS, on Wednesday. The promotion of the PCS officers to IAS is likely to pave the way for a reshuffle in the state bureaucracy Under secretary in the central government, Sanjay Kumar Chaurasiya, said that the state civil services officers have been promoted under Regulation 9(1) of the IAS (Appointment by Promotion) Regulation 1955 and Rule 3 of the IAS (Probation) Rules, 1954 in consultation with the state government. The promoted officers will be allotted 2023 and 2024 batch in IAS.
