21-yr-old held by police for filming on rail track
BARMER, June 22 -- A 21-year-old man filmed a dangerous reel while lying on railway tracks as a train passed over him. The entire video was later uploaded to Instagram. In the footage, the youth is seen lying between the rails as a train moves over him. After the video surfaced, Balotra police detained him.
The incident occurred in Balotra on Friday, June 20. The man, identified as Kamlesh Kumar, is a resident of Tilwara village under Jasol police station limits in the district. Police arrested him, and after being caught, Kamlesh folded his hands and publicly apologised for the act. He will now be handed over to the Railway Protection Force (RPF) for further action.
Balotra SP Amit Jain said that on June 20, Kumar risked his life by lying on railway tracks and allowing a train to pass over him to create a reel, which he later uploaded to Instagram. The reel was recorded near Balotra Railway Station.
The video clearly shows Kumar recording himself with a mobile phone. As the train approaches, he lies flat between the tracks. After it moves on, he gets up and starts laughing....
