LUCKNOW, Sept. 8 -- The 2nd Junior and Youth Para Badminton National Championships, beginning here on Monday, will not only aim to pick the future generation in the game, but also the probables for the Indian squad for the participation of Asian Youth Para Games 2025 in Dubai to be held in December 2025 Over 200 shuttlers and officials are due to participate in the three-day championship, being organised for the first time in Lucknow at the Gaurav Khanna Excellence High Performance Center (GKEHPC). This championship will bring together the country's most talented junior para shuttlers, showcasing their skills, determination, and sportsmanship on a national stage. Organized under the aegis of the Badminton Association of India (BAI) and hosted by the Uttar Pradesh Badminton Association (UPBA), the event has received entries from 19 states across 6 categories. Prabhakar Rao, chairman para badminton and Gaurav Khanna, head national coach of India para badminton team will keep eye on young talents during the event. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Badminton Association on Sunday announced its 14-member team for the national para badminton championship.
