Rudrapur, Feb. 16 -- Police arrested two men accused of looting jewellery from the house of a retired government employee's on February 9, following an encounter at Nanakmatta in US Nagar district on Friday night, police officers aware of the matter said on Saturday. "Following a tip-off, police tried to stop the two accused, who were heading to Nanakmatta on a bike on Friday night. However, they tried to escape and opened fire on the police team.
