Kanpur, April 26 -- Two days-old lion cubs died at Etawah Safari Park when their mother accidentally sat on them while attempting to nurse them in separate incidents, officials confirmed on Friday. Another cub was injured and under intensive care along with another surviving sibling, they added. Lioness Roopa had given birth to four cubs late on Sunday night. On Tuesday, one of the cubs died when Roopa inadvertently sat on it. A second such incident occurred on Wednesday night, resulting in the death of another cub due to suffocation. Park director Anil Patel said, "Around 10.30 pm on Wednesday, Roopa approached the cubs to nurse them. Unfortunately, she once again sat on one of the cubs, leading to its death due to pressure and lack of oxygen."...
