2 killed in house collapse, 1 washed away in MP
Bhopal/Mussoorie, July 19 -- Two people died after their houses collapsed following continuous heavy rainfall, while one man went missing in Chhatarpur district in Madhya Pradesh on Friday, officials aware of the matter said. A 16-year-old girl, Arti Ahirwar, a resident of Dhilapur village, died, while her mother, Bachhi Bai, sustained injuries after their house collapsed. Bacchi Bai was rushed to hospital and is undergoing treatment. A 34-year-old resident of Hatna village, Amal Singh Yadav, died after his house collapsed on Friday morning while he was sleeping, they added. A 24-year-old man, Harvansh, was swept away while crossing a drain on a bicycle on Narayanpura Road in Chhatarpur. An ambulance was also washed away near the Caddy Bridge on the Bamitha Jhansi four-lane. The driver was rescued by people present on the spot, police said....
