2 Kheri villages to get solar power
LAKHIMPUR KHERI, Nov. 8 -- Tharu villages Surma and Kiratpur in Pallia tehsil of Kheri district, located near the India-Nepal border and surrounded by Dudhwa Tiger Reserve, will soon be illuminated with solar lights. Acting on the initiative of DM Durga Shakti Nagpal, the Tata Group, through its Transform Rural India Foundation, has undertaken the project to provide solar power to these tribal villages. A Tata team met the Kheri DM on Friday to discuss installing solar microgrids in the villages. The team later inspected project sites....
