MEERUT, Sept. 21 -- Two jewellery traders from Bisauli town lost their lives when their speeding car overturned on the under-construction Ganga Expressway in Badaun district late Friday night, police said. The victims identified as Sunny Agrawal, 28, son of Alok Agrawal, and Anshul Varshney, 30, son of Keshav Varshney, were friends returning from Bareilly when their speeding car went out of control and overturned, police said, adding both died on the spot. According to Wazirganj police station in-charge Jitendra Singh, the duo had gone to Bareilly for work on Friday. When they did not return till late night, their families grew anxious. On Saturday morning, villagers spotted the mangled car on the expressway and alerted police, who recovered the bodies and identified them through documents found in the vehicle. Relatives said Sunny was the younger of two brothers and had married only last year, while Anshul was the middle sibling among three brothers. The bodies have been sent for the post-mortem examination, while police are probing how the victims accessed the expressway, which is yet to be opened for public use. htc...
