PRAYAGRAJ, Aug. 28 -- Nawabganj police have arrested two persons, including a woman, for allegedly providing shelter to the accused in the disappearance of former Zila Panchayat member Randhir Yadav, who has been missing since August 22 under suspicious circumstances, officials said on Wednesday. Those arrested include Pushpa, wife of named accused Ram Singh, and Annu, brother-in-law of co-accused Uday Yadav. Both have been sent to jail, and police are preparing to seek their remand for further interrogation, they added. Randhir's wife, Babli Yadav, herself a Zila Panchayat member, had lodged an FIR accusing Ram Singh Yadav of Tulsi Ka Purwa and Uday Yadav of kidnapping her husband with intent to murder. Four days after Randhir was reported missing, his SUV was found abandoned in the hilly area of Chitrakoot, fuelling suspicion of a murder conspiracy. According to the FIR, Randhir had left home in his SUV on the evening of August 22. Around 9 pm, he was seen buying sweets from a shop in Hathigahan and food from a dhaba, with Ram Singh accompanying him. SHO of Nawabganj Raghavendra Singh, said the police were investigating all aspects of the case with the help of their Chitrakoot counterparts.htc...
