Prayagraj, Nov. 3 -- Two separate incidents of alleged suicide were reported from Prayagraj and Kaushambi districts on Sunday. In Prayagraj, a daily wage labourer reportedly ended his life due to financial distress, while in Kaushambi, an elderly man was found hanging inside a temple, police said. In Prayagraj, a 50-year-old man from a village under the Karachhana police station area was found dead on Sunday morning. Police said he allegedly hanged himself inside his house late on Saturday night. Family members said he had been without work for several months, which led to severe financial hardship. He is survived by his wife, two minor daughters, and two minor sons. His younger brother is visually impaired. Police took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. Villagers have sought financial help for the family. In the second case, body of an 85-year-old unmarried man from a village under the Kokhraj police station area in Kaushambi was found hanging inside a temple on Sunday morning.
